Welcome to The Hurlingham Academy

I hope this website will give you a sense of what makes us an Outstanding school (Ofsted 2024). I am incredibly proud to be the Principal at The Hurlingham Academy; a place where students thrive academically and socially in an atmosphere of mutual respect, tolerance and diversity. 

Our academic approach is for every student in every lesson to enjoy learning.  We strive to ensure that our teaching standards are high, and children feel safe and supported in school. Lessons follow a knowledge-rich and rigorous curriculum. This learning environment has produced our best GCSE results ever.

The Hurlingham Academy is a close-knit school community that learns together, has fun together and continues on a journey towards all-around excellence.

The Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank are in serious need of more donations. We are collecting to support those in our community who might be struggling. Basic items that are most needed include: Tinned fish, tinned soup, tinned fruit, tinned tomatoes, tinned kidney beans, tinned chickpeas, tinned sweetcorn and tins of baked beans. Tins of vegetarian chili or curry would also be helpful. Jars of cooking sauces and pasta sauces along with breakfast cereals, porridge oats and long-life milk are needed as is toilet roll. ‘Luxury’ items include: Chocolate biscuits, advent calendars, mince pies, peanut butter, yule logs, Christmas crackers, stuffing, gravy granules, dates and dried fruit. Toiletries including shower gels and shampoos as well as baby care products such as nappies are also crucial. Washing detergent is also helpful. The truck will be taking away the collection on the 17th or 18th of December and so we have lots of time to collect as much as we can. @hffoodbank #givingtuesday #hammersmithandfulhmafoodbank

Our Year 11 Mandarin GCSE class embarked on an enlightening journey focused on language and culture, delving into Chinese history @BritishMuseum, participating in a guided tour of the #ChinaGallery that emphasized pivotal moments in Chinese civilization. Wrapping up with a visit to Chinatown, they confidently ordered food and drink in #Mandarin.
