Our Year 10 GCSE Music class visited the Royal College of Music for a hands-on Indonesian gamelan workshop. They also got to perform as part of a full ensemble, developing their listening, coordination, and collaborative skills while exploring non-Western musical traditions. The visit also included a tour of the Royal College of Music Museum, where students got to handle the world-class collection of historic instruments. The trip provided a valuable opportunity to bring classroom learning to life and deepen students’ understanding of world music within the GCSE curriculum. @rcmlondon #thehurlinghamacademy #unitedlearning #educationwithcharacter #royalcollegeofmusic #royalcollegeofmusicmuseum #musicinschools #youngmusicians #indonesiangamelan

“The best moments under the lights at the Lyric Theatre ✨ Monday’s performance of Cloud Busting brought to a close one of The Hurlingham Academy’s most exciting productions to date. Taking on a brand-new script that had never been staged before was no small feat, but our students rose to the challenge. A huge thank you to Mr Wright for all the time and effort he put into ensuring the performance was a success, and to @ntconnections it for the opportunity to be part of the programme. Well done to all the pupils who participated — we’re already looking forward to next year’s show! #thehurlinghamacademy #nationaltheatreconnections #lyrichammersmiththeatre #cloudbusting @lyrichammersmith @helenblakeman #educationwithcharacter

It's been a busy start to the Easter Term for our Girl's Football Teams. In week one, our U15 Girls kicked off against Hammersmith Academy in a scrappy affair. Windy conditions made maintaining possession difficult, but the team dug in for a 2-1 victory with both goals coming from Faith. This match was quickly followed by a double header against Holland Park. With a few key players missing, a few of the girls ended up playing both matches showing outstanding character. Sadly, both matches ended in defeat to close out a busy week. However, we bounced back in week two with victories for both our U13 & U15 teams against Thomas More. Notably impressive was the result from our U13's with Hera leading the charge in an 8-0 win! As the league campaign starts to come to a close, our attention will now turn to the cup finals coming later in the summer. #thehurlinghamacademy #educationwithcharacter #unitedlearning #qprschoolsleague

Having students who not only understand but actively engage in sustainable practices is what makes The Hurlingham Academy so special. Last term, a group of our pupils travelled to Oxford to present updates on our sustainability objectives. They were outstanding representatives of the school, and we’re excited to continue developing our green spaces! #thehurlinghamacademy #educationwithcharacter #unitedlearning #stannescollege #sustainabilityinschools #ecoschools #studentsforclimate
